Whether it’s brunch on a patio with girlfriends or a picnic date in the park, feel and look your best with three simple tips featuring some surprising ingredients that’ll heat up your beauty routine this summer.

PURIFY

Wake up your skin with this energizing elixir that nourishes your body from the inside out. The combination of apple cider vinegar and lemon offers cleansing properties to keep you feeling energized all day long. The cayenne and cinnamon help to rev up your metabolism so enjoying this drink warm & first thing in the morning is an ideal way to start a summer day. To make it, simply stir the following ingredients together: ACV, juice of half a lemon, and cayenne and cinnamon. For a little sweetness, add raw honey, a natural source of energy. On the go? Pour the mixture into a water bottle and add to water or seltzer and fresh thyme and sip on it as you buzz about your day.

 



Ingredients needed for this recipe:

  • 2 tsp apple cider vinegar
  • 1/2 lemon,
  • 1/4 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp cayenne pepper
  • 8 oz plain seltzer water,
  • sprig of thyme
  • A tall glass water bottle is ideal to prepare
  • 1 tsp raw honey

REFINE

Meet the outdoors with your smoothest skin of the year. This energizing orange and cinnamon coffee body scrub will prep your arms, legs and feet for a night out or a long weekend getaway. The coffee and sugar combination works together to dissolve dry skin while the coconut oil soothes and acts as a protective barrier for your skin. And the addition of orange & cinnamon offers an alluring lift. This recipe makes enough for one full-body use: coffee grounds, sugar, coconut oil, cinnamon powder, and orange essential oil. Mix all ingredients together in a medium-sized bowl and standing in the shower, gently massage the scrub onto arms, legs and feet. Rinse with warm water in the shower and pat skin dry.

Ingredients needed for this recipe:

  • 1/3 C coconut oil (slightly melted)
  • 1/2 C organic sugar
  • 1/3 C coffee grounds (medium roast, unflavored)
  • 2 tsp cinnamon
  • 8-12 drops orange essential oil
  • small mixing bowl
  • glass jar with lid to hold mixture once prepared
 
 
 

PROTECT

Finally, keep skin strong when it’s not in the sun with this calming turmeric, green yogurt, and  lemon mask. Together, the lemon and turmeric work to lighten darks spots and both have great anti-inflammatory and antibacterial properties to keep pores under control during more sweaty-prone days of the year. And the greek yogurt provides a rich, nourishing base for more sensitive summer skin. For a single use, mix together 1/2t turmeric powder with ⅓ C Greek yogurt and the juice of half of lemon. Apply the mixture to a cleansed face and leave on for 5 minutes. Rinse with your cleanser and warm water and pat skin dry.
